About Us

After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Jewish Family Service of New Orleans offered services in Baton Rouge to aid hurricane evacuees along with the Federation and other members of the Jewish Community Partnership. Over time JFS has expanded its services to include other members of the greater Baton Rouge community who are in need.  As of January 2008 JFS has become a program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Baton Rouge.  With support from the Federation and United Jewish Communities, Jewish Family Service is able to offer a variety of needed services in the Greater Baton Rouge community:

Currently much of JFS’s work focuses on older adults because of the demographics of our community. However, JFS also provides services to children and younger adults. Services provided may include referral to another agency when it is more appropriate for the client.

Every effort is used to maintain your confidentiality

Our head of staff is Kay Radlauer, Administrator and Case manager.
