Holocaust & Tolerance Education Program
Every year, the Baton Rouge Jewish Film Festival (in association with the Jewish Federation of Greater Baton Rouge) underwrites Holocaust educational programs specifically for teachers in the region.  We do this by making it possible to send deserving teachers to the Belfer National Conference for Educators in Washington, DC, held at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in July of each year. the Federation provides funding for teacher and student education on the Holocaust and the need for tolerance. This program also sponsors the annual Community Holocaust Memorial Service and the Holocaust Memorial Essay Contest.
