We strive to educate local Jews about synagogues and temples in our area.
Unified jewish congregation of Baton rouge (UJCBR)
Beth Shalom Synagogue and Congregation B’nai Israel have come together as one community - a unified congregation committed to building a strong, progressive Jewish future for Baton Rouge.
The mission of UJCBR is to advance the practice of Reform Judaism in a single inclusive, welcoming congregation serving the needs of all Reform Jews in and around the greater Baton Rouge area. As we continue to grow and evolve, we pursue our Jewish values through the lens of a modern world while building a community of Jewish understanding, value and compassion through Teshuva, Tefilah and Tzedakah.
The vision is to develop a collective commitment to Jewish Heritage and tradition while affirming the freedom to express shared values in creative and individualistic ways. Through our passionate Jewish Commitment, we strive to bring Tikkun Olam to our community, Israel and the world.
They respect and value the individual preferences among members in worship and expression of spirituality, offering enriching opportunities and programs for Jewish learning and growth at all ages, pre-K to seniors. We recognize that the strength of our diversity can best enhance the broadest expression of the principles of Reform Judaism.

Temple Shalom
Temple Shalom is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, and one of 291 congregations under 100 members. Their leadership attends regional and national meetings, and takes advantage of the many services provided by the Union. By supporting Temple Shalom, you are ensuring that the future of the Jewish community in Acadiana will continue for many more generations.
Temple Shalom offers a Reform Jewish community with opportunities for worship, spiritual growth, lifelong learning, and social interaction. They are a diverse community, rooted in tradition, yet moving towards the future. As such, we welcome young and old members of Acadiana who practice Judaism, seek to explore Judaism, and/or are interfaith families seeking to honor and support the Jewish elements of their family identity. They wish to inspire individuals to strengthen their identities as part of Am Yisrael (the Jewish People) and to participate actively in our Jewish community.

Chabad of Baton Rouge
Chabad is an international movement dedicated to aiding every single Jew in connecting to our heritage. The inspiration and guiding force to this movement is the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson of righteous memory. He shared his love towards G‑d and the Jewish nation with his followers, his Chassidim, resulting in Chabad outreach. Chabad in the greater Louisiana area now has four centers.
